Works with: Philips professional displays from PPDS that support SICP over the network, including the Q-Line, D-Line and T-Line signage and meeting-room ranges.

Before you start

  1. Connect the display to the network and note its IP address. SICP over the network uses port 5000.
  2. Check the display’s Monitor ID in its menu (default 1). If it isn’t 1, set the monitor_id tag.
  3. So that the display can be powered on remotely, either set its advanced power management (APM) to keep the network on in standby (TCP on), or set the mac_address tag and turn on Wake-on-LAN.

Add the device

  1. In the portal, go to Devices and select New device.
  2. Choose the Collector that can reach the device, and set Protocol to Philips Professional Displays.
  3. Enter the settings below and save. The Collector picks up the new device within five minutes.
Tags are set under Advanced (JSON) → Tags in the device form, as a JSON object, for example {"monitor_id": "1"}.

Readings

These values appear under Device Information on the device page, and can be checked in Room Readiness routines.

Commands

Each command is a button on the device page, and can be used in Room Readiness routines.
Standby: while the display is in standby it reports its power state, operating hours and identity; input, volume, signal and temperature readings return when it’s switched on.
Backlight off blanks the picture but leaves audio playing, which suits rooms where the screen should go dark without a full power-off.
Older models: some older platforms only accept the short form of the volume commands. M.A.R.C.U.S. retries with that form automatically.
